Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 fillets salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for spice) Leave out if you prefer no heat
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • to taste Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • to serve Lemon wedges (for serving)

Method

Preparation
  1. Dry the salmon well. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels until the surface feels dry.
  2. Mix the seasoning rub. In a small bowl, stir together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne (if using) until it forms a loose paste.
  3. Season the fillets. Rub the mixture evenly over the top and sides of both salmon fillets and drizzle the lemon juice over them.
  4. Preheat the air fryer. Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for 3 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket, ensuring space for air circulation. Air fry for 8–10 minutes.
  2. Check if the salmon is done; it should turn opaque and flake easily when pressed with a fork.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, avoid moisture on the fillets, check for doneness early to prevent overcooking, and ensure proper air circulation in the fryer.
