Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup chocolate (melted and cooled to room temperature) Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt works best.
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (sifted) Sifting removes clumps.
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) Add for extra chocolate flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate with the Greek yogurt. Add the vanilla extract and sugar, mixing until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt to combine the dry ingredients.
  4. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, being careful not to overmix; it’s okay if there are small flour streaks.
  5. Stir in the milk until the batter is glossy and well-combined. If you’re using chocolate chips, fold them in now.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, observing until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs – this indicates they’re done.
  7. Once baked, allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, don’t overmix the batter. Serve warm, and store leftovers in an airtight container.
