  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup sweetener (like erythritol or stevia) Choose your preferred sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce Adds moisture
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted Let cool slightly before mixing in
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cocoa powder, almond flour, sweetener, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth and then add the applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla until the mixture is cohesive.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until no dry streaks remain, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20–25 minutes, checking at 20 minutes for doneness. The top should be set and a toothpick inserted should come out clean.
  2. Let the brownies cool in the pan before slicing into squares.

For best results, cool completely before cutting to ensure clean edges. Experiment with different sweeteners based on your taste preferences.
