Preparation
- Prep your ingredients: cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, halve the Brussels sprouts, and mince the garlic and ginger. Season the chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
Make the sauce
- In a small bowl, stir together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger until smooth.
Sauté Brussels Sprouts
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the halved Brussels sprouts and cook until browned and bright green. Transfer to a plate once tender-crisp.
Cook Chicken
- Add remaining olive oil to the skillet, then add the chicken pieces in a single layer. Cook until browned on the outside and firm to the touch.
Combine and Glaze
- Return the Brussels sprouts to the skillet, stir the sauce and pour it into the pan. Toss everything together and let simmer until the sauce thickens and clings.
Serve
- Off the heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, ensure chicken pieces are of uniform size for even cooking. Feel free to adjust the garlic and ginger for a stronger flavor.
