Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups Water
  • 4 bags Green tea bags
  • 1 large Large apple, any sweet variety, thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp Honey or to taste
  • Ice cubes
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and grated Optional for extra flavor
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish Optional for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a near boil.
  2. Add the green tea bags and grated ginger (if using) to the hot water.
  3. Allow the tea to steep for about 3 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea to remove the tea bags and ginger pieces.
  5. While the tea is still warm, add in the thinly sliced apple and let the flavors mingle for about 30 minutes.
  6. Stir in the honey while the tea remains warm.
  7. Once cooled to room temperature, transfer the tea to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1-2 hours.
Serving
  1. Pour the chilled tea into glass jars or tall glasses filled with ice.
  2. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For best results, choose a high-quality green tea and adjust honey to your taste preference. Store any leftover iced tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
