Preparation
- Bring 4 cups of water to a near boil.
- Add the green tea bags and grated ginger (if using) to the hot water.
- Allow the tea to steep for about 3 minutes.
- Strain the tea to remove the tea bags and ginger pieces.
- While the tea is still warm, add in the thinly sliced apple and let the flavors mingle for about 30 minutes.
- Stir in the honey while the tea remains warm.
- Once cooled to room temperature, transfer the tea to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1-2 hours.
Serving
- Pour the chilled tea into glass jars or tall glasses filled with ice.
- Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves.
Notes
For best results, choose a high-quality green tea and adjust honey to your taste preference. Store any leftover iced tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
