Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Lightly grease a 24 cup mini muffin pan with cooking spray or olive oil.
- Press one slice of beef halal beef sausage slices into each muffin cup to form a shallow cup.
- In a small bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, and Italian seasoning until evenly mixed.
- If using pizza sauce, add a small dab to the bottom of each halal beef sausage slices cup.
- Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into each halal beef sausage slices cup, filling but not packing it tightly.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and the edges are golden.
- Remove the pan from the oven and let the bites cool in the pan for 5 minutes to set.
- Run a small knife around the edges if needed, lift the bites out of the pan, and serve warm.
Notes
- Letting the bites cool briefly in the pan helps them firm up and release cleanly.
- For crisper edges, bake on the higher end of the time range and cool the bites on a wire rack.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheat in a 350°F oven or air fryer.
- Serve with extra low sugar pizza sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
