Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan by greasing it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, followed by the maple syrup and milk. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Glazing
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and maple syrup for the glaze.
- Once the bars have cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
