  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons green tea leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups milk
  • to taste sugar
  • cardamom pods (crushed)
  • chopped pistachios and almonds (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, add the 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
  3. Stir gently and let the mixture continue to boil for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the color darkens to a deep amber.
Cooking
  1. Add in the 2 cups of milk and sugar according to your taste preferences. Continue boiling and stirring gently until the color transforms into a beautiful pink hue.
  2. Stir in the crushed cardamom pods and let them infuse for one minute.
  3. Carefully pour the tea into cups, garnishing each with chopped pistachios and almonds before serving.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality green tea and serve warm. Adjust sugar to taste and consider adding vanilla for a flavor twist.
