- Mix the marinade/sauce base: In a bowl, stir together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a bit of pepper until smooth.
- Marinate the beef for 15 minutes by tossing the sliced sirloin in the marinade until coated.
Cooking
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
- Stir-fry the marinated beef for 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the beef from the pan and keep it hot.
- In the same pan, stir-fry the minced garlic and mixed vegetables for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the pan, toss everything for 1-2 minutes until warmed through and the sauce is glossy.
- Serve right away over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
This stir-fry holds up well for next-day lunches. Store in an airtight container and reheat gently to avoid softening the vegetables.
