Preparation
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm but not boiling. For an iced version, you can skip this step.
- Sift the matcha powder in a separate bowl to remove any clumps.
- Whisk in a couple of tablespoons of the warm milk into the matcha powder to form a thick paste.
- Gradually stir in the remaining warm milk and whisk until fully combined and frothy.
- If making an iced version, fill a glass with ice before pouring in the matcha mixture.
- Add sweetener to taste and stir well to incorporate.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Use a fine-mesh sieve for sifting matcha for smoother texture. A bamboo whisk can help achieve a frothy finish.
